Sharing Love Across the NICU This Valentine’s Day

The Little Giraffe Foundation spent February spreading love to NICU families across Illinois with our annual Valentine’s Day donation program. Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, hospital staff, and donors, we delivered 592 Valentine’s Day gift bags to families at 21 partner hospitals.

Each bag included a children’s book, favorites like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Going to Bed Book, along with a special toy to bring comfort, smiles, and a little extra love to babies and families spending Valentine’s Day in the NICU.

From large deliveries at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital, Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Comer Children’s Hospital to smaller deliveries that still made a meaningful impact, every gift represented a reminder that NICU families are not alone. We are deeply grateful to the volunteers who coordinated deliveries at each hospital and to the dedicated NICU staff members who help us bring encouragement and support to families during such a difficult time.
